A married couple, who died only two months apart at the age of 91, have left the majority of their estate to charities on the Isle of Man, reports the Isle of Man Today.

The couple, who were originally from the Lake District but moved to the island, left legacies totalling £370,000 to a list of charities named in their will.

They also left a number of personal bequests and donations to charities out with the island, and requested that the remainder of their estate be given to Isle of Man charities not already listed in their will.
