A woman has been sentenced to eight months in jail after being found guilty of forging her deceased partner's will, reports Cambridge News.

The 46-year-old had created the false will after the sudden death of her partner last year. Under the terms of the forgery, she was the main beneficiary of her partner's estate and therefore stood to inherit several hundred thousand pounds. The false will also specified that her partner's children each inherited £10,000 and his mother was left £15,000.

His family reported their suspicions over the will to the police, and the woman was arrested. She initially denied the charges, but later pleaded guilty to fraud by misrepresentation.
