McDaniel College in Maryland has announced that it is to receive around $6.7 million from the estate of a former alumnus. The donation will be the largest financial bequest the college has ever received, and will be used to set up an endowment for scholarships.
Art historian Sir Denis Mahon provided in his will that £100 million worth of Italian Baroque masterpieces be left to the nation, according to a BBC report this week.
